This month we made a few new purchases. We have been wanting a new couch for a while now. About a month ago, we ordered a sectional and it finally showed up. I also found a plasma TV that I couldn’t live without, so we decided to get both!! The TV was a complete spur of the moment thing. I finally have something to watch my ATSC TV channels on.

First Floor remodel

Katherine and I just recently had the flooring in our first floor replaced. We ripped up the carpet and vinyl and put down bamboo flooring. We are really happy with it. We also repainted the walls and rearranged the living room. I would recommend anyone looking at installing wood flooring to look at bamboo. It is naturally water and mold resistant. On Valentine’s day I decided to buy Katherine a new car. Well, we had been looking at it for a while and we just decided to buy it on Valentine’s day. We had been wanting a car that could hold 4 people for a while. We really like it. I was surprised at the features it has. It is AWD which is nice for the snow we have gotten lately. We traded in our Eclipse on it. I must say I am glad that is gone. It was a fun car, but it was to small.

Katherine and I are leaving for Chicago tonight. She has some training for work and I am going along for the ride. Hopefully it won’t be too cold up there. I think we are going to be able to see Ryan and Abby as well. It will be nice to get away for a couple of days.

Kat’s new job

Katherine started her new job at the American Cancer Society this Monday. I was overjoyed to hear that she was enjoying the job and not exhausted at the end of the day. I think this will be a new challenge for her. She is actually working normal business hours with no call. I am excited about that because I hated when she would get called in on a weeknight.
