Chorus Concert

Last night we went to my sister-in-law’s chorus concert. I learned something there, which surprised me. What I learned is this:

Don’t Stop Believin’ doesn’t need dancing, it only needs Steve Perry (or someone who sings in the same octave).

That is all I am going to say.

Dead Animal

Ever wonder what you house would smell like if a opossum died under it? Well, just come over and I will show you what it smells like. I noticed the smell last night and narrowed it down to the sun room. After some investigation I found a break in the barrier under the sun room. This morning I found that something had tried to drag the varmint out, but couldn’t get the job done. So after a couple of minutes of trying to fish it out without touching it, I put on some gloves and threw it over the fence. Hopefully, the smell will go away now. I love waking up to the smell of decomposition. Mmmmm…

Awesome space video

I don’t even know what to say about this, so I will just post the link. Watch it all the way through.

Colorado Pictures

I just uploaded some pictures of our Colorado trip. Here are a few:

Dell computers

I received 8GB of Crucial RAM for my work Optiplex 745 today and when I installed it, Aero stopped working on Windows 7. Memtest86 also would lock up whenever you test. Weeeee! Why can’t anything be simple? After doing some reading, it looks like Dell PCs (at least the business line) only fully support Dell branded memory. I have never had any problems with memory on any of my custom built PCs. Pretty frustrating stuff. I guess I will return the Crucial RAM and pay more for the Dell memory.

PBX

I tested my PBX a couple of days ago. It is almost ready to be deployed. I am ready to get it installed and start using it.

Florida in 2 Days!!

We leave for Florida on Saturday. It is going to be wonderful. I am so glad that I enjoy spending time with my family. My brother and sister-in-law seem more like friends than siblings.

Makeup Work

Last night I spent the better part of three hours scanning/paying bills and updating two and a half months of Quicken records. This is something I don’t enjoy doing. If I didn’t put it off for so long, it wouldn’t be a big deal. It is nice to have my bills available in PDF form though.

Well, I am back from the canoe trip and ready for the next vacation. I am looking forward to the Colorado trip with the boys. I am also ready to get back so I can get start/finish some of my projects. Vacation is just so inconvenient. :)

Over the next couple weeks I am going on three trips. It is pretty hard to concentrate at work.
