Road Construction Workers

I need to vent a little on this issue. Seeing as the state has been increasing the jail time and fines if you hit a construction worker, don’t you think they should be more careful as well? I don’t know how many times lately, I have been driving and some construction worker will casually walk out in front of my car. They will do the little hop-run for about 2 seconds and then just slowly walk the rest of the way, as if there isn’t a lane of speeding traffic barreling toward them. And they wonder why worker injuries are going up.
