DSL
Jan 5th, 2007 by Jay Howerter
Yesterday, I had DSL installed at my house. I have been tired with my Insight cable connection. Insight has given all residential users a free upgrade to 10Mbps/1Mbps. Since I am considered a business customer, I didn’t get the upgrade. That made me a little mad. I decided to try DSL. My first impressions are pretty good. It is very fast and I was given my own subnet of addresses. It took me a little while to get my Cisco 871 router to work, since I had never done PPPoE before. I am pretty sure that I am going to keep my DSL and ditch the cable. Eric thinks that is stupid, but I don’t care what he thinks (sometimes). He is not the boss of me.

Just ran a speed test on the Insight connection.
7974kbps down
942kbps up
Woooo.
