Story Quarry: A new regular appearence on Howie’s Blog.
Aug 24th, 2006 by Jay Howerter
Because of my diverse group of friends, I have many stories. I have decided from time to time to post some of these stories here. I will not reveal the names of the friends to which I am referring. To those not involved in these stories, they might not strike you as funny. Unfortunately, this is my blog and I don’t care if you don’t get it
. Today’s story comes from a friend that is a wealth of story material.
This particular friend seemed to always destroy his possesions within the first few months of owning them. It was normally little things such as stereos or bikes. One day in high school, I noticed that he was ridingĂ‚ home with someone else from school. I asked him why he wasn’t driving his car. He informed me that he had neglected to change the oil in his car for ~10,000 miles. He continued that the night before as he was driving, the engine ceased. When they opened the hood to inspect the engine, there was .5 quarts of oil in the ceased hunk of the Pontiac power plant. After being told of this, we proceeded to laugh for a very long time and have never let it go. That fact should be obvious, since it has been 5 years since I graduated high school.
Many more stories to come…

Well, that’s a good story.. brings back some laughs. I also thought it was funny that they put an entirely new engine in that car.. but the wrong one. It went from having a V6 to a having a four cylinder.
I don’t think he even ended up keeping that one for long either.

I believe that was the car that when riding in you said, “If we go faster than 55 miles an hour, the wheels will fall off.”
“A New Regular Appearance On Howie’s Blog”…exactly what was the old “regular appearance on Howie’s blog?”
The old regular appearence on Howie’s blog was random stuff whenever I felt like writing.
